  • Growing environmental concerns around the world have made it clear that new technologies are required to preserve environmental quality while at the same time enhancing the way we live. At Harima Chemicals, we take this both as a challenge and as an opportunity to explore new possibilities in pine chemistry and naval stores applications, a field which we ourselves have pioneered since 1947. We are not content, however, to limit ourselves to these fields. Harima has branched out into other fields of endeavor which complement our already ample service capability. We see ourselves as innovators, always trying to find new ways to improve the quality of life. It is only with the driving force set forth by "The Harima Philosophy" that all this has become possible. Our long-standing perception of the importance of research and development, as evidenced by our state-of-the-art facilities and research laboratories, has also contributed in no small way to our progress.
